BHA

The hospitality's predominant lobbying group, the BHA promotes the interests of the industry to government and other decision-makers both nationally and internationally. The membership includes hoteliers, restaurateurs, contract caterers and clubs as well as suppliers. Restaurant lobbying group the Restaurant Association merged with the BHA in 2003.

HRH the Prince of Wales today paid a visit to Westminster Kingsway College to hear about its commitment to helping disadvantaged young people through the Prince’s Trust. The college is delivering the youth charity’s 12-week personal development programme, which encourages 13 unemployed young people to build the skills, confidence and motivation to work. The Prince of Wales met the five young women and eight young men involved in the programme, which is currently being run from the college’s King’s Cross centre. This year the college will also deliver a new ‘Get Into Cooking’ course designed to encourage young people to take up careers in the catering industry.
